ENABLE ART’S CLASSROOM

Enable Art’s classroom is located at Walla Walla Valley Academy. Chloe Congleton, the owner of Enable Art, was hired as a contract art teacher for WWVA and the school has allowed her to use her room for her personal art programs. She runs all her programs through Enable Art in this creative space she has made for her clients and students. If you would like directions to the studio click HERE.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Chloe has taken great pride in creating a relaxing atmosphere for her clients and students as she has added her personal touch to make the space inviting to all ages in hopes they feel like they are in less of a classroom and more like a studio space to be creative. Each person had their own personal drafting table that can be propped up for painting and dropped flat again for any crafting that needs to be done. She has added two large tables at the front of the classroom for anyone who needs wheelchair accessibility or would just like to sit on a chair instead of a stool.

Classes are taught from the front of the classroom under a document camera. This makes it super easy for the class, no matter what the size, to be able to view what the teacher is doing, clearly on the screen without distraction. Classical guitar or piano music is usually played softly in the background while class is in session since this has been shown to improve focus.

SNACKS

Chloe always enjoyed snacks when she was a little girl going to art class and it was something she knew she wanted to incorporate in all of her programs. So, that is why Enable Art has a “snack shack” in their studio space. The snack shack is usually used in After School Art, Summer Art Camps, and Evening Art Parties. The Snack shack has two large shelves of snacks and goodies, hot drinks like coffee and teas, as well as a nice sized drink fridge filled with cold, refreshing non-alcoholic drinks.
