This client wanted a picture for adds and their personal website. They commissioned me to come down to their place and snap a few pictures of their building and the owners. It was a fun and creative shoot.
Wedding projects are always fun! She told me what picture she wanted and left the rest up to me! She wanted this to be displayed at her wedding for people to sign. This was done using acrylic paint with a protective coat.
This wasn't really a commission piece because it was for my business, but I designed and created the logo and I love it! But I'm also biased....
Fathers Day Gift
Some clients wanted a picture drawn of their dad's beloved car for Fathers Day. They let me choose what medium I wanted to use and in situations like this I almost always choose pencil just because I love the detail. He loved it too!
This client approached me with the idea to draw all of his coworkers as caricatures. It was my first go at it but after he sent me over the pictures of his friends and talked to me about each one's personality I was able to come up with this! He was pleased with the outcome!
Some college friends decided to do a card game for their final in one of their science classes. They called me in and explained what they were looking for and I came up with these characters, along with a dozen more. It was an awesome project to work on and they ended up acing their final.
This recipient of this had seen a drawing I had done earlier with a baseball and a glove. The parents overheard their son commenting about how much he loved the original picture so they commissioned me to do one for him.
I was asked to help out with my school's talent show backdrop. This is one out of five, 10ft x 30ft murals, I did for school events. Even though I was not paid, it taught me how to work on large surfaces and I learned to love doing murals.
This was a three piece painting I did for a salon in Spokane. They showed me a few pieces of artwork they liked and asked me to keep the style of these paintings but to put my touch on it. Usually I don't enjoy trying to capture another artist's style but I made an exception and love the way it turned out.
Frozen Yogurt Mural
This mural is in Moses Lake, WA in Blue Palm Frozen Yogurt. I did two large murals both averaging 11ft x 30ft. The full restaurant took me three days to paint and more then 30 hours of painting. This mural included a Life Guard House on one wall, and a beach landscape on the other wall. There was also text and borders I added in other places around the shop.
Camp Mivoden Mural
Camp Mivoden is located by Hayden Lake over in Idaho. This camp was remodeling the kitchen and asked me to do a mural for them. This particular mural ended up being around 10ft x 50ft. This took me three days to complete. The picture was of the view looking outside the cafe windows. By having the mural they would have the same view no matter which way they looked!
Poster for Book Signing
Janene wrote a wonderful book and then decided to write another! She won a contest I had posted on my Facebook page and she received a free shoot. This was the end result of our shoot!
Wrap Around Bedroom Mural
This mural consists of a Mountain range, a little cabin on the lake, a float plane getting ready to land, bears, wolves, moose, and birds doting the landscape. On the other side of the room there is a forest of beautiful birch trees (my favorite part of the room). This was a huge project but worth every second when it was finally completed! This took me around 3 days and 35+ hours of painting.
This wasn't a commission but it was a blast! I decided that working a full time job wasn't enough so I went door to door signing up kids for my first art class. After two days of advertising I ended up with 8 kids in my class and absolutely loved every second of it! I was able to have them all in one class and taught them twice a week. Probably one of the best idea's I've ever had.
Artwork For a Drama
Walla Walla University was putting on a Drama and wanted caricatures done of the main actors. After they told me what the Drama was about and the characters the actors would play I came up with these few sketches. They wanted them just a light sketch and nothing to detailed so it worked out perfectly.
The employes at a hair salon in Spokane wanted some pictures for their salon and Facebook page so I went down and did a few fun shoots with them! I loved the vision they had and was happy I was able to capture it!
Mural In Walla Walla Washington
This is the other Blue Palm Frozen Yogurt in Walla Walla, Washington. I painted around 5 different walls in the whole shop. This took me three days with 40+ hours of painting. This was my first beach landscape I had ever done but was pleased with how it turned out!
